The Inspector Matters

Why Anthony Denatala

Anthony has been reading buildings since 2005 — not just looking at them. As a CMRS-certified inspector, he doesn't do walk-throughs; he conducts forensic investigations. He approaches every property the way a detective approaches a scene: following moisture pathways, mapping air pressure dynamics, and tracing visible symptoms back to their structural root cause. He has found active mold colonies behind walls and under subfloors that instruments alone wouldn't have flagged — because 20 years of crawlspace-to-attic experience builds a kind of pattern recognition that no certification course can replicate. When Anthony comes to your home, you're not getting a checklist; you're getting a forensic assessment from someone who genuinely understands what a building is trying to tell you.

Common Questions

What Homeowners Ask About Pricing

What's included in a mold inspection?

The standard inspection includes a full forensic visual walkthrough of every room and concern area, moisture readings throughout the property, air sampling (one indoor area of concern plus one outdoor control baseline for comparison), and a brief written synopsis of findings. Anthony Denatala, CMRS conducts every inspection personally — you're not getting a subcontractor.

How long does the inspection take?

Most residential inspections run 2–3 hours. Larger homes or properties with complex crawlspaces, attics, or multiple moisture events may take up to 4 hours. Anthony does not rush. The point is thoroughness — if something needs a second look, it gets one.

Do I get results the same day?

Anthony will walk you through his visual findings and moisture readings in real time on-site. Air sample lab results take 3–5 business days on standard turnaround. If you need results faster, next-day rush processing is available for an additional $25 per sample, and same-day emergency processing can be arranged — call for that pricing.

What if mold is found — do you do the remediation too?

Yes, Sick Building Group does perform remediation — but inspection and remediation are kept intentionally separate. The inspection is a forensic investigation, not a sales call. If remediation is needed, you receive a written protocol and can choose SBG to perform it, or use the protocol to get independent bids from other contractors. You are never pressured.

Can I use the inspection report for insurance?

The brief written synopsis included with standard inspections documents findings but is not a formal protocol. For insurance submissions, a full IICRC S520-compliant written protocol with detailed findings, photo log, and remediation scope of work is required. That is a separate service, priced after the initial inspection based on scope. Call (404) 268-0979 to discuss.
